Technical Abstract: This presentation informes the Arizona Cotton Industry (Growers and Ginners) of current research at the USDA-ARS cotton ginning and textile processing laboratories. Projects included cotton plastic contamination detection and removal, gin machinery investigations to improve cotton quality and ginning efficiency, and modeling the cost of conventional and high-speed roller ginning and saw ginning.
