Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Recently, there has been more interest in growing and thus, ginning a hybrid cotton variety that has fiber properties similar to Pima and yield characteristics and fuzzy seed like Upland. As such, there are many questions about the hybrid’s ginnability. This presentation will summarize a test where the highspeed roller ginning performance characteristics of the hybrid cotton are compared to those of Upland and Pima cottons that are all grown in Southern New Mexico.
