Interpretive Summary: Quickly and reproducibly sowing seeds in soil or greenhouse media is difficult to achieve by hand. Inconsistencies in planting depth/spacing can result in poor germination and development. This 3D printed device reproducibly punches 6 1/4" holes in a circular pattern while tamping down soil or greenhouse media. This tool simplifies planting workflows for researchers and could even be used by home growers.

Technical Abstract: This device presses 6 evenly spaced holes into a soil filled 1 gallon nursery pot 1/4" deep. This print was created for reproducible planting for plant biology research. Pieces are printed separately and super glued to avoid the need for supports. Material: PLA Supports: N/A Resolution: 0.3 mm Infill: 15%
