Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The giant silk moths that feed on hickories and/or pecan may cause localized defoliation but all in all, their damage does not reach treatment thresholds likely due to the action of their natural enemies. The grandeur of the giant silk moths, in both the adult and larval forms, are worthy of our appreciation.
