Technical Abstract: The nature and composition of cotton gin byproducts present several challenges to the cotton ginning industry. This invited talk is part of an academic seminar series at Mississippi State University. The presentation covers an overview of the cotton ginning research conducted at USDA-ARS Cotton Ginning Research Unit in Stoneville, MS. Results of studies previously presented on composting of cotton gin byproducts for improved utilization were also covered. Other aspects of sustainability in cotton gin trash utilization were also presented.
