Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Nutritional demands vary during a cow’s life cycle – whether she is pregnant, lactating, or maintaining, it’s important to always be thinking about her nutritional needs. This session will go in-depth about how to consider nutritional needs of your females and the effects on the reproduction potential. Proper heifer development is vital to the longevity of your cow herd. The diversity in heifer development systems allows producers to design a program that meets the needs of their operation without sacrificing reproductive performance.
