Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Roots perform important roles in the life cycle of plants including structural support and water and nutrient acquisition. Roots can by manipulated to improve capture of these resources by the introduction or modification of specific genes responsible for desired root traits. This presentation will focus on our efforts to identify root candidate genes and the optimization of gene editing reagents for targeted mutagenesis and gene modification in legumes.
