This book chapter reviews the sources and utilization of vitamin K and its biochemical roles. There is also a discussion of the consequences of low intakes of vitamin K across the lifecycle, spanning from vitamin K-deficiency bleeding in early infancy through to chronic diseases associated with low vitamin K status in older adults. |
