It discusses how both dormant buds and shoot tips can be used to conserve plant genetic resources in liquid nitrogen. The use of these materials allows for specific genotypes or genetic compositions to be preserved, which wouldn't be possible if these types of plants were cryopreserved as seeds. Several videos explaining cryopreservation processes are also included in the chapter. Technical Abstract: Educational/training resources are being developed for topics related to plant genetic resources management and use. This is an ebook chapter that will be published in an ebook titled "Training in Plant Genetic Resources: Cryopreservation of Clonal Propagules".
