Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Many Midwestern farmers are interested in strategies to conserve on-farm biodiversity. These strategies often have additional benefits: erosion control, reduced runoff, pest predation, and more. We facilitated a farmer-led event in which farmers presented to other farmers about their experiences managing pollinator-friendly habitat on their farms. Farmers showcased restored prairie habitats, flowering cover crops, and pollinator-friendly plants in pastures. In addition, various governmental and nonprofit organizations participated in a resources fair as part of the event to provide support to farmers interested in adding these habitats on their lands.
