Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The Journal of Quantitative Trait Loci (JQTL), sponsored by the Crop Science Society of America and initiated in 1995, provides a peer- reviewed, fully electronic forum for articles relevant to the analysis, manipulation, and use of genes modifying quantitative characters in any species. The publication format facilitates links to related publications and databases, and permits the inclusion of more complete analyses and datasets than is generally feasible in bound media. Improved publication speed, inexpensive access (no subscription fee), easy communication with authors, and flexibility are some of the advantages of publishing and reading JQTL. The journal can be accessed on the World Wide Web at http://probe.nalusda.gov:8000/othersdocs/jqtl/index.html.
