Unfortunately, gliovirin-producing strains ("P") of T. virens are also excluded. However, these strains may be selectively isolated from soil with a PDA medium containing rifampicin, chlorothalonil and thiabendazole. T. virens strains already isolated may be separated into "P" and "Q" groups by the growth of "P" strains on PDA + chlorothalonil or thiabendazole and the growth of "Q" strains on PDA + Maxim or gliotoxin. |
