Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Samples of standard cultivars and new selections of durum wheat grown in cooperative experiments in durum regions of the US were milled by the Wheat Quality Laboratory Wheat and corresponding semolina were evaluated for physical and chemical properties. Semolina from large wheat samples was processed into spaghetti and tested for cooking quality characteristics. Quality tests were performed on 761 samples of durum that were received from 15 stations in 6 states. The purpose of this report is to make available to public and private wheat breeders quality data on the standard varieties and experimental lines of durum wheat from the 1995 crop year.
