Interpretive Summary: Parasitic wasps in the superfamily chalcidoidea are used extensively in biological control programs and have been responsible for controlling many harmful pests. Taxonomic research is vital to biological control success and access to literature is vital to good taxonomy. Many older papers published by early taxonomists are very hard to find and many are deteriorating with age. CD-ROM brings together all the known literature on chalcidoid taxonomy written by one of the most prolific authors of his time, A. A. Girault. Containing over 370 separate publications and over 3500 pages of text, this compendium makes it possible to review the mass of work on any personal computer. The information compiled here will be of use to taxonomists studying parasitic wasps, as well as to biological control workers and scientists developing integrated pest management programs.

Technical Abstract: The works of A. A. Girault on chalcid taxonomy has been assembled together on a single CD-ROM. Containing 373 publications covering over 3500 pages of printed text, the CD-ROM is perhaps the only complete collection of Girault's works on Chalcidoidea to be found anywhere in the World. Each included paper is presented in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Included on the disk are the freeware Acrobat Readers for Macintosh, DOS, Window, and Unix.
