Losses due to viruses are second only to those caused by fungi. In this chapter, an attempt has been made to present a broad spectrum of examples of losses among several crops, various time periods, geographic areas, and descriptions of epidemics. This information is important to plant virologists and to scientists who are involved in marketing and regulating programs. |
