Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Much progress has been made in reducing losses to soybean caused by the soybean cyst nematode. Resistant varieties will continue to play a vital role in programs to control the nematode. However, they must be used judiciously so that the resistance available will remain durable for many more years. There also is a need to increase educational efforts to increase awareness of SCN and to help reduce the high level of crop loss by adoption of sound management practices.
