Interpretive Summary: Profitable soybean production is dependent upon high yielding varieties that are resistant to diseases. OMAHA is a new soybean cultivar, developed in Illinois, that combines high seed yield with resistance to a root and stem rot disease of soybean. This variety is adapted to production in southern Indiana and was released for production by farmers in this area. This variety has been tested in Indiana and this bulletin summarizes the performance of OMAHA in Indiana. The information will be useful to extension personnel and to farmers who need to grow a high yielding, root and stem rot resistant variety in southern Indiana.
