Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Stand counts of three commercial varieties and two USDA hybrid sugarbeet releases were taken at two day intervals from day 14 after planting until day 39 after planting, at day 46 and immediately prior to harvest. Significant differences were observed in germination and stand establishment early in the season; however these differences were not evident by the end of the season. Agronomic data showed little correlation with emergence data, with the exception that one seedlot with a 10 day delay in relative germination rate performed poorly in yield related traits.
