Each method is further subdivided into several types of irrigation systems. Each has their specific applications, advantages, and disadvantages. This chapter of the CIGR Handbook of Agricultural Engineering describes the characteristics of each irrigation method and briefly discusses design procedures and evaluation methods. Listings of advantages and disadvantages of each method assist in the selection of appropriate methods for varying conditions. |
