Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The efficacies of Karate (lambda-cychalothrin) and Dimilin (diflubenzuron) against the rice water weevil (Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus) were tested in separate field tests conducted at the Rice Research Station (Crowley, LA). Two applications of karate and Dimilin gave control of rice water weevil larvae comparable to control given by a single application of carbofuran.
