The Cucurbitaceae conferences are held every other year, alternating between Europe (as EUCARPIA conferences) and the U.S.

Previous U.S. conferences were at Cornell University, New York (1980), Charleston, South Carolina (1989), South Padre Island, Texas (1994), Asilomar, California (1998), Naples, Florida (2002), Asheville, North Carolina (2006), Charleston, South Carolina (2010) and Petoskey, Michigan (2014).

Previous EUCARPIA-Cucurbitaceae conferences were in France (1988), Poland (1992), Spain (1996), Israel (2000), the Czech Republic (2004), Avignon, France (2008), Antalya, Turkey (2012) and Warsaw, Poland (2016).

In addition, there are other cucurbit conferences such as the International ISHS Symposium on Cucurbits in Turkey (1997), Japan (2001), Australia (2005), China (2009) and Spain (2015), and the 1st International Oil Pumpkin Conference in Austria (1999).
