Scientific Quality Review Officer (SQRO) is the collateral duty senior scientist responsible for the professional scientific oversight of the peer review process. Specifically, the QA/QC of project plans, panel operations (technical editor), enforces Agency policy and requirements regarding the peer review process, and oversees the transmittal of peer review recommendations as well as their certification. This individual generally serves a 2-year term.
