Nick Rhoades received his B.S in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Illinois State University in 2015. Following a M.S in Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Illinois State University, Nick started a Post-doc fellowship through ORISE at USDA-ARS in 2023, working in the lab of Dr. Guixia Hao. Current research is focused on identifying and characterizing pathogen effector genes as well as developing Sarocladium zeae as an RNAi-delivery biocontrol agent against Fusarium Head Blight pathogens.
