The USDA-ARS Hood River Worksite (3005 Experiment Station Dr., Hood River, OR) was established in 2022 in space leased from Oregon State University Mid-Columbia Research and Extension Center (OSU-MCAREC). The administrative ARS Location for this research laboratory is the Physiology and Pathology of Tree Fruits Laboratory in Wenatchee, WA. Two research programs belonging to NP-306 are housed at the worksite, both with postharvest directives for sweet cherry and pear. One program focuses on postharvest physiology and quality and the other on postharvest pathology.
