The Unit also develops improved pest management systems that are efficient and environmentally safe. The Soybean/Maize Germplasm unit is responsible for the USDA Soybean Germplasm Collection and the Maize Genetics Cooperation Stock Center and research to evaluate and utilize accessions in these collections.
