Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: With the rise of the “Google generation”, consumers can easily access information with a simple click. Unfortunately, this information is not always accurate or honest. This can pose many problems if consumer perception of your product is swayed by erroneous information. Being able to factually and compassionately address consumer concerns and misconceptions can be an industry’s greatest marketing tool. The ability to address concerns without over shadowing the message with your own personal views is an art that needs to be mastered in order to serve as an effective advocate for agricultural products. As a consumer advocate, you need to be aware of the information consumers are receiving and you must also be knowledgeable about their concerns. A presentation will be made to address common questions posed by consumers about eggs. Factual responses will be provided along with links for additional reference. The secondary goal of this presentation is to make you aware of the sources of much of the consumer information about eggs.
