Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: PacBio long read sequencing has enabled high quality draft sequencing of complex polyploid plants that contain high percentages of repeat regions and are highly heterozygous. We recently used PacBio CLR methods to sequence a polytraploid Kentucky bluegrass genome, and PacBio CCS methods to sequence a tetraploid annual bluegrass genome.
