Editor-in-Chief allows one to interact with research and science from a different perspective through the editorial process and assist researchers communicate the importance of their research. There is the ever-demanding goal to ensure the journal publishes the highest quality science it can while keeping the journal efficient, providing opportunities for early career scientists as editors, and finding new avenues to grow journal content. In addition, pressures to uphold scientific integrity and ethics, be mindful of impact factors, and grow readership while staying true to the journal’s niche are outlined. |
