The analysis of microbial communities remains complex and is affected by myriad factors including computational, sequencing and processing errors that all need to be addressed by proper design and analysis. This article reviews the status of the field and provides guidance on proper methods including sampling, bulking and technical errors as well as analyses of experiments. |
