Technical Abstract: Weather conditions, variety selection, nutrient application, and management practices affect cotton growth and yield. Cotton can be grown successfully in dryland, and applying micro-nutrients might help increase yield in the dryland production system. The study aimed to determine micronutrient application's effect on dryland cotton yield. The experiment design was a completely randomized block design with four replications. Each plot was 1.63 m wide x 30.48 m long. The treatments were recommended rates of Nitrogen (control; C), C+ Zinc (Zn), C+ Boron (B), C + iron (Fe), and C + Zn + B+ Fe. Cotton variety PhytoGen (PHY 390 W3FE) was planted on May 2, 2023. The N fertilizer was applied at 134.50 kg ha-1. The Fe, Zn, and B were applied at 11.20, 5.60, and 2.25 kg ha-1, respectively. The micronutrients (Zn, B and Fe) were foliar applied 50 days after planting. The impact of micro-nutrient applications on cotton yield will be statistically analyzed and compared. The research findings will provide insights into how micro-nutrient application impacts the cotton yield in dryland production systems and will help producers optimize micro-nutrient management for cotton production.
