In the proceeding years, a strategy document has been developed and adopted by NOAA as a national strategy, an installation protocol was developed and numerouse field days and training courses were conducted. There has been much progress, but a review of current needs and future directions should be outlined for proper planning to occur. Engagement with tribal groups, public and private interest groups and commercial data providers are on the horizon for this effort along with improving technical aspects of data production and value added products for better decision making. |
