Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Panel discussion at the UN Convention to Combat Desertification COP16, People’s day, focused on the Restoration of global rangelands for people, nature and human well-being and development. This roundtable dialogue will bring together communities and policymakers to chart a way forward to maintain rangeland ecosystem resilience, biodiversity, and livelihoods. Participation in the roundtable will contribute to a meaningful dialogue on advancing rangeland restoration, which is especially important with the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists (IYRP) approaching in 2026.
