Dr. Vijay Nandula joined the Crop Production Systems Research Unit in March of 2011.  His research program will focus on the biology, genetics and physiology of glyphosate-resistant and other herbicide-resistant weeds in Mississippi and the Mid South Area.  Dr. Nandula's research interests are in resistance surveys,  resistance characterization, multiple resistance, target-site and non target-site resistance mechanisms, and related biological attributes.

Vijay received his Ph.D. in Weed Science and Plant Physiology from Virginia Tech.  Prior to joining USDA-ARS, Vijay worked as an Assistant Research Professor at the Delta Research and Extension Center of Mississippi State University in Stoneville, Mississippi.
