Director, Regional Climate Hub
I direct the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, which covers an eight-state region of the Midwest and Corn Belt. The goal of the hub is to help agriculture adapt to a changing climate and help mitigate climate change. Find out more about the hub here. My educational background is in agricultural climatology/meteorology from Iowa State University (PhD and BS) and South Dakota School of Mines (MS). My career has been developing and delivering climate services (particularly to agriculture) in the Midwest and Northern Plains for over 20 years, previously as the state climatologist for South Dakota. My research interests are in all issues of climate and agriculture and improved access and use of information in stakeholder decision-making.
