A multiclass multiresidue LC-MS/MS method for analysis of veterinary drugs in bovine kidney. Euroresidue Conference Proceedings. 2:515. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: The increased efficiency permitted by multiclass, multiresidue methods has made such approaches very attractive to laboratories involved in monitoring veterinary drug residues in animal tissues. In this current work, evaluation of a multiclass multiresidue LC-MS/MS method in bovine kidney is described using 5 replicates over each of three days. Over 100 analytes including quinolones, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, macrolides, Beta-lactams, cephalosporins, anthelminthics, Beta-agonists, thyreostats, and tranquilizers are evaluated using the optimized method at fortification levels of 10, 50, 100 and 200 ng/g. While not all analytes perform well, good recoveries can be obtained, and these values, along with the lowest calibration standard levels for each analyte are reported. This method can provide a simple and useful multiclass multiresidue option for those involved in drug residue analysis in animal tissues. |
