Dr. Frank Guillot coordinated a three-hour training session for the Pest Management Professionals (the operators in the French Quarter Project) at the Southern Regional Research Center.  Cooperative scientists from the New Orleans Mosquito and Termite Control Board joined him in the presentations.  Several topics were presented to the group regarding: update on progress of the French Quarter project, flight behavior of the winged formed (alates) of the FST, review of current technology for inspecting structures for termites and results of the inspection program in the French Quarter, a review of the topic of "Conducive Conditions" that favor termite infestations, and information about an improved bait formulation and how it should be properly used to control termites.
